About Me

Well, the first thing you need to know about me is that I don't like writing about myself! It makes me feel self-conscious and silly, and I'm no good at it. That being said, here's the dealio:
  1. My name is Mandy Jordan and I am the head honcho (make that, ONLY honcho) at Junque.
  2. I grew up in rural Connecticut and now I live in lovely Providence, Rhode Island with my husband, Eric. See no. 13.
  3. I have no formal art training, save some rockin' fun pottery classes in college. I am a big fan of the Learn-By-Doing school of art.
  4. So far, this is the most boring bio EVER!
  5. I am not computer savvy enough to be a geek, but I've got all the trappings. Live Long and Prosper!
  6. I am (still) learning to ride a bicycle all over again (whoever coined the phrase "...it's just like learning to ride a bike!" is a doofus).
  7. I don't mean to, but I choose purple over and over again - so it must be my favorite color.
  8. My Grace Slick impersonation sounds like Kermit the Frog...
  9. ... but my chicken "bawk" is pretty good!
  10. I swiped this bio format from Modern Gypsy.
  11. Love to hike and climb mountains. Will climb bigger and bigger ones, mark my words! Here's some outdoor adventuring.
  12. Twenty-plus antique typewriters live with me. Let me tell you, these are NOT convenient things to collect. Postage stamps or pocket lint would have been better choices.
  13. I am in love :-)
  14. My vices include reality TV (I know, I KNOW!), cheese doodles, Diet Vanilla Coke and Bonne Bell lip gloss - preferably with glitter. I'm a teenager in a thirty-three year old's body!
  15. I wish I had as much time to read as I did when I was a kid! When I can, I DEVOUR books. I have a particular weakness for thrillers, mysteries and science fiction.
  16. My masters degree is in cultural anthropology.
  17. I cook a mean lentil loaf (omnivores, do not cringe! It is AMAZING!)
  18. I am never without a journal and rarely without my camera.
  19. Wanna see my studio?
  20. This mini bio needs updating!! Stay tuned...
